Ana Paula Ruiz GalindoとMecky Reussによるメキシコシティの建築スタジオ Pedro&Juanaが手がける「Hórama Rama」は、MoMA PS1が主催する「Young Architects Program 2019」で勝利を収めた。

高さ40フィート（約12m）、幅90フィート（約27m）の円筒形の建築で、18世紀から19世紀にかけて作られた、360度の視覚体験を楽しむパノラマ構造を彷彿とさせる。彼らはそこに滝を設け、没入型のジャングルのようなインスタレーションとした。

メキシコ・ユカタン州の都市 メリダの手織りの模様やイメージを使って、文化交流の新しい場を作り出すことが彼らのねらいだ。

「世界ではさまざまなことがたえず起こっていて、私たちは互いに関連し合っているのです。こうした着想から、クイーンズにジャングルを作ろうと考えたのでした」と彼らは語っている。

なお、このプログラムでは、毎年、新進の建築家・建築チームが、ニューヨーク・クイーンズにあるMoMA PS1の中庭に一時的な屋外建築を建て、日よけや座席、水を提供している。今回の「HóramaRama」も、2019年9月2日（月）までMoMA PS1にて展示中だ。
